I honestly think that the Saints will suffer their first loss this weekend at the hands of the Bulldogs.

I am a Tiger's supporter, but I think the Bulldogs have got the game and players to do it.

I love records being broken - and history says that the Saints wont do it (never been done before) but I dont think that the doggies are the ones to break the drought. Main reason for this is best backline in the league vs the most suspect forward line in the top 4.

Well, I beg to differ.  Having looked at the next matches to be played, I think the Saints could go through the season unbeaten and break the record.  I hope they do.  I really like Reiwoldt.  I would like to see the Saints go through unbeaten and win the flag for their second time in history.

The Saints have soundly beaten all of their rivals.

The exception was Geelong which was a great, tight match.  But even in that game the Saints were pretty convincing - they stuck to their game plan distressingly well even under all the duress that Geelong could deliver across the field.

I really can't see them getting beaten before the finals.  And in the finals I think that probably only a fully fit and firing Geelong could trouble them.  And Geelong's chances of being fully fit are very questionable at this moment in time.

Home and away maybe, but not the finals. Different game,in the finals its do or die and other clubs will throw all they have at them.Collingwood, Geelong and Footscay will fight a lot harder in the finals. They have more finals experiance then St kilda.I think all 4 of those clubs have a rather even chance.Cats and St's only have a very slite higher chance.

Well, that was a surprise for me.

The Saints have been so convincing for the whole season.  To see that they were 7 goals down during the third quarter was quite amazing.

I didn't see the game.  So what was different about this game?  The reports in the paper seemed to boil it down to a) Essendon winning the contested possession count and b) Essendon winning it out of the middle and so avoiding the Saints 'frontal pressure'.
