Has anyone got a stat on how many times the ball has hit the post in the home and aways games this year?

It seems to me that the ball hitting the post/s occured much more this year than in past years. Every game I have watched this year has had it happen more than once. In the past it used to be a rarer event.  

I thought that goal kicking percentages are one thing that hasn't changed in the game - suppose I better to some research... :)

I heard a talkback caller one week exclaiming that if the post is hit there should be a special reward, together with flashing lights and a siren. Hsi rationale was that if you tried to do it you wouldn't be able to succeed.
